A Very Cool E-Mail I Received
To: YOU
Date: TODAY
From: GOD-The Boss!
Subject: YOURSELF
Reference: LIFE
This is God. Today I will be handling ALL of your problems for you. I do NOT need your help. So, have a nice day.
I love you.
GOD
P.S. And remember.....
If life happens to deliver a situation to you that you can not handle, do NOT attempt to resolve it yourself!! Kindly put it in the SFGTD (something for God to do) box. I will get to it in MY TIME. All situations will be resolved, but in My time, not yours.
P.S.S.
Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold onto it by worrying about it. Instead, focus on all the wonderful things that are present in your life right now.
If you find yourself stuck in traffic; Don't despair. There are people in this world for whom driving is an unheard of privilege.
Should you have a bad day at work; Think of the man who has been out of work for years.
Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.
Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.
Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.
Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.
Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what life is all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.
Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!
Now, you have a nice day,
God

Where Am I Going and Where The Heck Have I Been??
Wednesday, May 20, 2009
Who I am....
...so ready to go on vacation!
...having a love/hate relationship with my job.
...excited when my hair and makeup look the same when I wake up as it did when I went to bed (though it doesn't happen as frequently any more).
...a lover, mother, daughter, sister, friend, that loves long, fierce, and hard.....stubborn as heck too!
...working on my speed issues including always wanting to be in the front of a line...grocery, traffic, etc., as well as exercising patience (such a hard one to master).
...thankful for God, my family, and my friends.
...proud of my daughters' brains and witty humor (they're pretty darn cute too!).
...very disappointed and hurt because of how quickly I turned back into the "step" child since my mom passed. Parents sometimes don't understand that they can still hurt their children even when they're grown with kids of their own. I'm tired of selfishness and self-importance...
...missing my mom, grandma, and brother so much!!! It's amazing how much it still hurts even after time has passed.
...a good mother and very proud of it.
...very sunburned from a satisfying weekend. How can I be upset at that after the terribly rainy season we're barely coming out of?? I love to sit in the sun with my eyes closed and let all of my senses be aware of my surroundings.
...spending more money than I probably should be for our pending vacation. The kids don't have a clue where we're going and I can barely contain myself! I can't wait to see their faces when we pull up in front of...
...loving the music that is playing right now.
...happy that my aunt stopped to visit me, after not seeing her for a few years, and brought me some wonderful gifts: a bottle of my old favorite lotion "Rain" from Archibald Sisters, some pictures of my cousin and myself when we were little, and my grandma's jewelery box that I used to play with. That last one made me cry all alone in my little office at work :-) She left before I could tell her how special it is to me and how thankful I am to have it.
...head over heels in love with my husband. Sometimes we lose sight of what is truly important such as holding that one person that sticks by you no matter what. The one that takes those vows as seriously as you do. It's easy to lose by the way side.
...the person who usually brings people back down to reality while still being excited right along with them at the prospect of a dream.
...so happy when people smile and even happier if I was a part of conjuring that smile.
...almost completely comfortable in my body.![]()
